I love dogs. Especially the kind with those melting brown eyes and liquid look - and I especially love Labradors. And I especially love yellow Labs. Marley & Me is a book about the "World's Worst Dog," a yellow Lab, but as the book promises, you do fall in love with Marley long before the last page is turned.
This story about a delinquent dog that slobbers about the house like a goofball stayed on top of the New York Times best-seller's list for 24 weeks. Surely, Marley has something going for him? Indeed he does. This is one book I can pick up any day and re-read all of Marley's adventures again and again. And oh! Especially Marley's capers with his old love, a poodle.
Dear Marley - I would recommend him anytime, any day, no matter if you love dogs or hate them - if you ever need a good laugh, pick this book up.
Check out Marley's own site here while the New York Times has an interesting review on the book.
And here's more about Marley's riotous personality from the book:

Vitamin pill: "The best way to give it to him is to simply drop it on the floor and pretend he's not supposed to have it."
Beverages: "His jowls hold a surprising amount of water, which runs out as he walks away from the bowl."
Obeying commands: "It's best if you're standing and not crouched down when you call him."
Sedatives for thunderstorm phobia: "One pill 30 minutes before the storm arrives (you'll be a weather forecaster before you know it!)"
